Dress for Success Vancouver is delighted to welcome Carla Bury and Sophia Tsui to our Board of Directors.
Carla is the Vice President of Marketing at Ledingham McAllister, a real estate development company dedicated to building BC since 1905. She has a BA in Communication and Design from Ryerson University. Carla has served on the Board of Governors at Crofton House School since 2016 and is the former Chair of their Financial Assistance Committee.
Sophia was appointed as Chief Risk Officer for HSBC Bank Canada in March 2021. Sophia joined HSBC in 1994, and her 28-year career with the Bank has spanned various areas: 5 years in Commercial Banking, 17 years in Risk Management and 5 years in Internal Audit. Sophia was named one of Women’s Executive Network (WXN’s) Top 100 Most Powerful Women in Canada in 2018. In 2019, she was recognized as one of British Columbia’s Most Influential Women in Finance by BC Business Magazine. Most recently in 2022, she was recognized for Excellence in Industry by the Association for Women in Finance.
