This week, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau visited our office and we shared with him what we already know: investing in and listening to what women need to be fully included in the workforce isn’t just a good thing to do, or the right thing to do, it is the smart thing to do.
Too many women are struggling to make ends meet and to afford a life of dignity and independence.
The Prime Minister took the time to listen to our clients about their struggles with the affordability of daily life and their determination to lift themselves up. He shared some of the important policies that the federal government is implementing to help Canadians make ends meet. He also heard about what Dress for Success is doing, how our services build community and confidence, and shorten the time between struggle and striving and succeeding in finding a good job, financial independence and personal success.
Thank you, Mr. Prime Minister for joining us for these important conversations on women’s full inclusion in the economy, the workforce and in our communities.
