Seeking Committee Members for Success Luncheon

The Success Luncheon is one of Dress for Success Vancouver’s annual signature events.  On November 3, 2021, 11:00am-1:30pm, together with Boughton Law, Dress for Success Vancouver will be hosting 400 guests of corporate leaders in a hybrid (live and virtual) event at the JW Marriott Parq Vancouver hotel.

We are recruiting for 7 prominent volunteer Event Committee Chair positions to provide leadership in strategy, sales, stewardship and success.  

Our 2021 goal is to fund the economic resiliency of 200 women through the organization’s suite of free pre-employment, job-retention, and leadership programs.

Roles

Committee Chair(s) – Position Filled-  Responsible for leadership and succession of the committee and ensuring all committee members are engaged, active and appreciated. Ensuring that all committee members are thanks for their work and stewarded towards a multi-year commitment. Responsible for hosting committee meetings with the support of the staff Event Manager. 

Volunteer Chair(s) – Responsible for reaching into their network to recruit event volunteers, and ensuring that all event volunteers are thanked and asked to recommit to the volunteering the following year. 

Media Chair(s) – Responsible for reaching into their network to secure earned media for the event and ensuring that all media in attendance/activation are thanked and given a save the date for the following year. 

Hospitality Chair(s) – Responsible for reaching into their network to source guest favours and product partnerships for the event and  ensuring that all donors and partners in this area are thanked and asked to recommit to participating the following year. 

Sponsorship Chair(s) – Responsible for reaching into their network to secure corporate sponsorship for the event and ensuring that all event sponsors are thanked and asked to recommit to the following year. 

Auction Chair(s) – Responsible for reaching into their network to secure product and in-kind donations for silent auction and ensuring that all auction donors are thanked and asked to recommit to the volunteering the following year. 

Decor Chair(s) – Responsible for working with the decor sponsor/ helping to source the decor sponsor to curate the event atmosphere and ensuring that they are thanked and asked to recommit to the following year. 

DFSV Board Liaison(s) Position Filled – Responsible for securing participation from the Board of Directors in ticket sales, product donations, sponsorships and volunteer recruitment and ensuring that the Board of Directors is engaged in the development of and day of the event.
