At Dress for Success Vancouver, we work to break down the systemic barriers that prevent women and gender-diverse individuals from achieving economic security, personal growth, and family stability. Beyond helping clients secure jobs, we help them build confidence, resilience, and opportunities for a thriving future — because we know that when women succeed, families and communities flourish.
Economic mobility isn’t achieved in a single moment. The 5 Ds are our roadmap: five interconnected pillars that reflect our commitment to walking alongside every client at every stage of their journey.
Dream
Every journey begins with belief. Dream helps women and gender-diverse individuals envision a bigger future and build the confidence to pursue it — starting from the very first moment they come to us. Through goal setting, mentorship, and a supportive community, clients gain clarity, direction, and a renewed sense of possibility.
Dress
Confidence is transformative. Through our signature Dressing Services, clients are paired with a volunteer stylist for a personalized, body-positive experience. They leave with workplace attire that reflects who they are, and the confidence to step into new opportunities.
Develop
Skills open doors. Through our free workshops and career supports, clients build the tools they need to secure meaningful employment and navigate their careers with confidence. From interview skills and financial education to digital literacy and personal development, Develop meets them where they are and moves them forward.
Drive
Success must be sustained. Our Working Women’s Group is a six-month leadership program for employed clients building long-term career stability and momentum. Through workshops, peer mentorship, and community, participants develop the resilience, skills, and networks to keep growing. Our Alumnae network ensures that growth and connection continues long after graduation.
Donate
Empowered women empower women. Through our Ambassador program, corporate partnerships, volunteers, and donors, the impact of Dress for Success Vancouver extends far beyond the individual.
