Leave a

Legacy

A gift in your will is a way to keep opening doors long after you're gone — helping the next woman, and the one after her, step into her next chapter.

Igniting Careers. Transforming Futures.

Every year, Dress for Success Vancouver helps women build the skills, confidence, and community they need for meaningful employment. A legacy gift extends that work well beyond your lifetime, ensuring that our programs are here for the women who need them next.

Ways to leave a gift

There are several ways to include Dress for Success in your plans. Please speak to your financial or legal advisor to determine the option that is the right fit for you.

Bequest in your will

The most common planned gift. You can leave a specific dollar amount, a particular asset, or a percentage of your estate — with or without instructions for how it’s used.

Gift of securities

Now or in future, donating publicly traded stocks, mutual funds, or bonds can eliminate capital gains tax while giving you a donation receipt for the full value of your gift.

Beneficiary designation

Name Dress for Success Vancouver as a beneficiary on an RRSP, RRIF, TFSA, or life insurance policy. These gifts pass outside your estate, avoiding probate fees.

Gift of life insurance

Donate an existing policy or take out a new one naming Dress for Success Vancouver as owner and beneficiary, often with meaningful tax advantages along the way.
