Administration

Our admin volunteers are the reason people feel welcome the moment they arrive or call. They are the first point of contact for clients, donors, and other volunteers.

What you’ll do: Greet clients and visitors, answer phones, book and confirm appointments, monitor email inboxes, enter data, and support general filing and admin tasks.

What you bring: Computer literacy, strong communication, and good organisational skills. Experience in administration or reception is a bonus.

Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday. Morning shift: 9:30am–1:30pm. Afternoon shift: 1:30pm–4:30pm. In-person at our East Vancouver location.

Stylist

Stylists work one-on-one with clients in their 75-minute appointments, helping them choose the clothing for an interview or their first week at a new job. It’s direct client support, and often a client’s first experience with our programs

What you’ll do: Guide clients through selecting a complete outfit, drawing on their own preferences and the next step they’re dressing for. Work as part of our larger stylist team to support multiple appointments per shift.

What you bring: Customer service skills and a feel for clothing that empowers. No formal fashion training required.

Schedule: Wednesday to Saturday, morning shifts from 9:30am-1:30pm; Saturday afternoons from 1:30pm-4:30pm. In-person at our East Vancouver location.

Sorter

Sorters keep our boutique stocked and our space running smoothly. Sorting clothing and accessories, steaming and merchandising, our sorters make sure our boutique is full of possibility for each and every client.

What you’ll do: Receive clothing donations, sort and assess each item, steam clothing, organise back stock, and maintain boutique presentation.

What you bring: An eye for detail and a love of organising. Some lifting is required. No retail or fashion background needed.

Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday, two shift options. In-person at our East Vancouver location.

Mentor, Working Women’s Group

Working Women’s Group mentors meet monthly one-on-one with a Working Women’s Group member, offering professional guidance, accountability, and support as their mentee sets and works toward their goals.

What you’ll do: Hold regular monthly meetings with your mentee, offer constructive feedback and practical coaching, share resources and networks, and celebrate their progress.

What you bring: Coaching instincts or active listening experience, and professional and leadership experience from five or more years of working in Canada that you’re ready to share.

Workshop Facilitator

Workshop facilitators deliver free sessions for clients on topics that matter in the real world. We offer sessions covering job search strategy, LinkedIn and in-person networking, resume and cover letter best practices, financial education, stress management, workplace innovations and technology, and more.

What you’ll do: Prepare and deliver an engaging workshop for Dress for Success Vancouver clients. Sessions are primarily virtual.

What you bring: Subject matter expertise in at least one relevant area. Facilitation experience is preferred.
