We are hiring a Volunteer Engagement Coordinator! This permanent, salaried position will work on-site in Vancouver, BC, with a 20-hour work week.
The Coordinator, Volunteer Engagement is responsible for the implementation of the full volunteer lifecycle strategy across DFSV. This role leads all aspects of volunteer program coordination, ensuring the program aligns with DFSV’s values, programming priorities, and the communities we serve.
Ideal for natural relationship-builders who thrive on variety and tangible impact, this role offers opportunities for strategic input, hands-on volunteer engagement, and collaborative teamwork.
In brief, candidates should have 2–3+ years of progressive experience coordinating volunteers across recruitment, selection, and support, ideally within a non-profit or community-based setting, with a degree or diploma in Human Resources, Volunteer Management, or Social Services considered an asset. Strong public speaking, facilitation, and conflict-resolution skills are essential, along with proficiency in tools including G-Suite, Zoom, Mailchimp, Salesforce, Acuity, Canva, Vimeo, and Typeform.
