Jess’s Story

When I showed up for my Dress for Success Vancouver suiting appointment, I was beaten down. At the lowest point of my life, with little self-confidence. I was genuinely welcomed as soon as I stepped into the boutique, and everyone treated me with dignity. I joined the PWG and this program opened and changed my life. They offered me the mentors and leadership development that I longed for.
Lara’s Story

Katrina’s Story

I look to forward to continuing this journey of growth and I hope to inspire, support and encourage all the women currently in my life, and all the women I have yet to meet. I desire to help women to believe they deserve more and encouraging them to follow their dreams no matter how big or small. I will continue to challenge myself as I share what an organization Dress for Success is.
Stella’s Story

Luda’s Story

Our first rental place in Surrey was with filled with mildew but we couldn’t find anything else that we could afford. I felt stuck. My E.I. had run out and we had so many bills to pay. With so few options, my husband made a decision. We took our son back to Calgary to live with his grandmother until we could become more stable. I was heartbroken. It was during this hard time in my life that I went to WorkBC to help me get a job. They referred me to Dress for Success Vancouver.

Maria’s Story

Since I immigrated, I have received countless blessings. I only knew a couple of friends in Vancouver but met wonderful strangers along the way who became my lifelong friends and helped me in my journey. I was excited about starting a new life in my new home.
I did find a job and worked my way up to a management role and life was amazing! I was living in a blissful bubble for a good 12 years, where I felt shielded and protected from the adversities of life. Then, one day, the bubble burst.
