Clarita Casiver

Clarita Casiver was an ambassador for our IMPACT 360 event, and one of six Professional Women’s Group clients chosen to walk down the runway for our fashion show. Tarana’s Story

I came to Vancouver in February of 2012 from Azerbaijan and it was one of the most challenging phases of my life. Even with over 15 years of professional experience working with International NGO’s and having a degree in International Development from an American University, I was still faced with tough job market in Vancouver. I was discouraged and lost my confidence while I struggled with two part-time jobs.

Following Up With Fiona

Fiona Hogg, a PWG member and a DFS Ambassador, has been inspiring the Dress for Success Vancouver community for the past few years. Fiona was originally a Dress for Success client referred to us after a series of difficult events brought her to Vancouver. Since then she has had an incredible journey of personal growth and transformation and in 2016 Fiona was the recipient of the Success Luncheon’s Inspiration Award. Recently we sat down with Fiona to see where this past year has taken her.

Miriam Linderman

We had the pleasure to work with Miriam Linderman a few years ago when she walked through our boutique doors as a client and we gave her an interview outfit. Several years later, Miriam is now a successful coach with her own private practice. She’s decided to give back to Dress for Success Vancouver by facilitating a Career Centre workshop on The Importance of Play in Life and Work this coming April 2017.

Vivian’s Story

I realized cycle of abuse was continuing and I knew it had to stop it for my daughter’s sake and for my own. I connected with Dress for Success Vancouver and began to get the help I needed to break the cycle.

Dress for Success taught me very wide and diverse views to help discover my abilities and dreams. When you open your mind, work hard, and think positive you will be motivated to challenge yourself to make things happen.

Kira’s Story

My story is not an easy one to tell and it doesn’t have a tidy beginning, middle and end. As a transwoman, I’ve faced many challenges involving discovery and courage. Through Dress for Success Vancouver, I’ve benefited from the warm embrace of a community of women who have helped me live an authentic life.
